About Us

 

Our mission is to create engaging training sessions that not only focus on building essential motor skills and improving balance but also inlcude educational aspects such as counting, number and letter and shape recognition, and problem solving while we inspire a love for movement.
Through dynamic and enjoyable activities, we foster an environment where kids can grow, learn, and thrive – all while developing the strength, coordination, and confidence they need for an active and healthy life.

Our Story

 
Fit Foxes was founded by Lea Engelbrecht, a passionate advocate for both physical and psychological well-being. With a background in Psychology, Lea holds a BCom Hons degree in Industrial Psychology and a BA Hons degree in Psychology. She is also a registered brain profiling practitioner with NBI and a certified ADHD coach. Lea’s dedication to understanding the unique needs of individuals is further supported by her Certification in Comprehensive Special Populations and Excerise.

 

Through her studies and work, Lea has gained a deep appreciation for the critical connection between physical activity and mental health. She understands that exercise not only promotes physical fitness but also plays a key role in boosting self-esteem, fostering empowerment, and supporting emotional development in children.
As a mother of two young children, Lea is deeply attuned to the needs and requirements of both parents and kids. Her personal experience as a parent fuel her passion to create an environment that supports children's physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.

 

Fit Foxes was born from this understanding and drive to offer children a fun, engaging way to build essential skills while nurturing their overall well-being.

Our Approach

 

At Fit Foxes, we believe that fitness should be fun, engaging, and educational. Our dynamic training sessions are thoughtfully designed to help children develop essential motor skills, improve balance, and build overall fitness while incorporating educational aspects in an exciting and supportive environment.
Each class is tailored to suit different age groups, ensuring that the activities are age-appropriate and aligned with the developmental milestones of each child.
We focus on making exercise enjoyable, using creative and interactive activities that promote learning through movement. From coordination and strength-building exercises to balance challenges and group games that incorporate fun learning such as letter and number recognition, colours, shapes and problem solving, every session is crafted to nurture both physical and mental growth.
To encourage family involvement and create lasting fitness habits, we also offer family sessions. These sessions are designed to get everyone moving together in a fun and supportive environment, fostering stronger connections and a collective love for fitness.
For those seeking more personalized attention, we provide specialized one-on-one training sessions. These sessions are tailored to meet the specific needs of each child, whether they’re looking to develop particular skills or need focused guidance to build confidence and strength.
In addition, we offer eating plans to complement our fitness programs, helping families create healthy, balanced lifestyles. Our nutrition plans are designed to support overall wellness and ensure children get the fuel they need to grow, thrive, and stay active.
Whether your child is participating in a group session, joining the family for a workout, or working one-on-one with a coach, our holistic approach ensures that every child has the opportunity to develop physically, mentally, and socially.
